Pittsboro Primary School is a PK-2 building within North West Hendricks School Corporation that serves approximately 375 students. Not only do we serve K-2 students, but we also house a developmental and community preschool program.  It is a pleasure to serve as your principal and I look forward to a fantastic 2023-2024 school year! 

Before joining PPS, I have proudly served in a variety of teaching and educational leadership roles over the past 30 years. Some of the roles I have held include classroom teacher, K-12 assistant principal, and elementary principal. My personal and professional goal on a daily basis will be to provide the encouragement, support, and direction needed to advance the mission of PPS and to diligently provide relevant, high quality, and rigorous learning opportunities in a safe, caring, and compassionate school environment where all students can reach their highest potential while being inspired to be lifelong learners. Moreover, as both a parent and educator, I deeply value the importance of a strong home-school connection. Parents and families are every child’s first teacher, and I believe that by working together, we can make sure your child’s needs are met with kindness and care. So, I am looking forward to partnering with PPS families and the entire Northwest Hendricks school community in the coming days, weeks, and months in order to do what is best and right for children.

Pittsboro Primary School has a wonderful staff that will work with your child to ensure that they have a great start to their education.  We believe that we teach the foundational skills that will be needed as your child moves from primary school to Pittsboro Elementary School in grade 3.  We pride ourselves in engaging our young learners in exciting and rigorous curriculum during the school day.
